We were delighted to host Mr Price Group associates and suppliers at the Mr Price Foundation Cup 2023 on 18 November, at Northwood Crusaders. The event was well supported by family and friends, with nine women’s and 22 men’s teams throwing their heart and soul into one of South Africa’s most loved sports. 

“The Mr Price Foundation team was amazed at the level of sportsmanship and camaraderie from spectators, players and organisers. Thank you! We look forward to growing the event to the next level in 2024,” said Karen Wells, Head of Mr Price Foundation. With the sun beating down, teams battled it out for the floating trophy and a prize of merchandise to the value of R25 000, for the men’s and women’s winning teams to donate to an NGO of their choice.  

RESULTS

Men’s semi-finals: Logistics beat TLP Titans 2-1, and Maytex City beat Hirt and Carter (Hallandaise Sauce) in a nail-biting 5-4 win.  

Men’s final: Logistics and Maytex played a brilliant final with the Mr Price DC team dominating the game and defending their title 3-1. 

Women’s final: The DC’s women’s team defended their title against Hul Avengers, with a 4-1 score at the final whistle.
