JumpStarter Leaps Ahead In Her Learning Journey

With an eye for fashion and a passionate work ethic Minenhle Mbatha is on the fast track to a promising future in the footwear industry.

Minenhle Mbatha has consistently impressed during the mrp foundation JumpStart Pre-production programme, a ten-month course which aims to jumpstart careers through developing footwear and clothing skills.

The twenty-five-year-old Durbanite has been learning the ins and outs of footwear during the JumpStart Pre-production course this year and is taking this newfound knowledge into her next adventure, a two-year footwear diploma at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) awarded by the KZN Footwear Cluster.

Minenhle has consistently impressed during the MRP Foundation JumpStart Pre-production programme, a ten-month course which aims to jumpstart careers through developing footwear and clothing skills. Not only does the course bring immense value to the workplace and manufacturing industry at large but positively impacts one of South Africa’s biggest challenges, youth unemployment.

The excited KwaZulu-Natal resident is excited for the opportunity to extend and refine her footwear skills at the VUT course saying:

“The practical and technical skills that I have learnt during the pre-production course have really given me a good foundation to succeed in the footwear industry.”

We wish Minenhle all the best in her learning journey, and who knows, maybe we will be wearing her shoes one day!
