MRP Foundation School learners receive additional nutritional support from Futurelife.
On October 24Â learners from the five MRP Foundation Schools in KwaDukuza were excited to receive their first delivery of the highly nutritious Futurelife food pouches, another step the MRP Foundation is taking towards improving learner performance and breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality.
Learning can be a difficult task for many learners from low-income communities who often arrive at school without breakfast and have to wait until lunch for a meal provided by the School Nutrition programme. Now thanks to the newly established Futurelife partnership, learners in need of extra nutritional support can enjoy Futurelife’s nourishing breakfast pouches that have been specially developed to simultaneously supply drinking water and a highly nutritious meal in a simple parcel.
Futurelife will also teach pupils about the importance of a healthy diet and caring for the environment, values learners have already started to embrace through the holistic MRP Foundation Schools model.
Since 2011, the five MRP Foundation Schools have focused on school leadership and child development to unlock children talents and develop them through quality education, technology-based learning, physical education and arts and culture programmes.
Once again, a big thank you to Futurelife who have committed to providing food parcels for all five MRP Foundation schools for the fourth term… you’re helping to build tomorrow’s leaders!
