The selfless and justice-oriented spirit of Madiba lives on through MRP Foundation’s programmes that make an impact on the lives of thousands of young people daily on their journey from school into the world of work.
Our MRP Foundation Schools Programme
South African learners face a range of challenges in receiving quality education. Our holistic Schools programme provides solutions to this national crisis through focusing on parent and community involvement; school management and leadership; learner development and educator development.
Learners can unlock and develop their full potential through quality education and holistic interventions including: Physical Education, Maths, Science, English, Creative Arts and Environmental Awareness programmes.

We’re currently in 98 low-income schools in 4 provinces impacting 64,000 learners: Tongaat (20), Hammarsdale (20), QwaQwa (20), Soweto (20) and Mitchell’s Plain (18).

18 high schools enjoy the physical education component of the MRP Foundation’s Schools programme: QwaQwa (8), Soweto (5) and Mitchell’s Plain (5), impacting a total of 13,543 high school learners.

We support 62 Early Childhood Development centres through our partnership with The Unlimited Child in: Hammarsdale (31), QwaQwa (31)

Jump Start: Our Skills Development Programme
Developed by industry for industry, our dynamic skills development programme, Jump Start, addresses the need for a skilled and capable workforce, whilst empowering young South Africans to improve their professional lives.
It equips motivated matriculated school-leavers and graduates with key industry skills and invaluable work experience to help them become workplace ready. By partnering with local industry and employment partners, we link promising Jump Starters to potential career opportunities.
Jump Start was developed in response to the disheartening number of unemployed youth, the widening skills gap between school and tertiary education and the working world and a need for critical skills in Retail and the Supply Chain.

Our Skills Development Programme prepares youth for the working world and since 2007 we have trained 32,310 youth (2007 – 2018).
