Foundation as we activate our education and skills development programmes to break the cycle of poverty and inequality.

Because of you, our three programmes – EduRise (education), JumpStart (skills development) and HandPicked (agripreneurship) – have offered hope and encouragement to thousands of children and youth in underserved communities. These gifts are especially meaningful after the challenges of the past three years.

In 2022, Mr Price Foundation invested R12.5 million in education through EduRise.

We could not have achieved these milestones without the generosity and support of our incredible partners and community of supporters. You have given young learners the opportunity to flourish in the classroom, the field and stage. You have given children hope for a better life through holistic education.
In 2022, Mr Price Foundation invested R17.1 million in JumpStart skills development programmes, empowering youth with retail skills and hands-on work experience; and connecting our employer partners to a pipeline of work-ready retail talent.

In 2022, our new HandPicked programme extended its network of fresh produce growers in urban and rural areas. Equipped with new hydroponic growing skills and practical experience, HandPicked farmers are setting up growing hubs and microbusinesses in urban and rural areas, stimulating employment, boosting food security – and moving from consumers to producers.
