From farm to cup, every part of the coffee chain matters
MRP Foundation believes in breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality. That belief extends to our delicious Foundation Coffee, where we have produced a high-quality coffee that’s ethically sourced AND 100% of the proceeds are channeled into education and skills development programmes.
From farm to cup, every part of the coffee chain matters. Foundation Coffee is ethically sourced and sustainably farmed and purchased; there is a ‘line of sight trade’ from the coffee farmer to the end product; former SA Barista Champ and Lineage Coffee owner, Craig Charity selects and then locally roasts the beans in small batches; and 100% of proceeds generated from Foundation Coffee go to MRP Foundation.
To share the good news of MRP Foundation Coffee we recently opened a Foundation Coffee Kiosk at the MRP concept store at the Fourways Mall in Sandton, Johannesburg. Soon Durban residents will also be able to experience Foundation Coffee as MRP Foundation is opening a Coffee Kiosk at MRP in Gateway Mall, in Durban, towards the end of 2019.
Foundation Coffee may be new to the public but for the staff at the Mr Price Group Support Centre, Foundation Coffee Barista, Fikile (Fiks) Khuzwayo, has been serving up delicious coffee for years. Fiks is passionate about her craft and has dedicated her time to learning more about coffee and the industry.
We invite you to experience #FoundationCoffee at our Coffee Kiosk at MRP, Fourways Mall in Sandton.
